“Lombard Towpath Trotters” Run Half-Marathon for Amani Children

Lynsey Bartlam and 5 colleagues from her work are running the Birmingham Half Marathon on 24th October this year to raise money to help the Amani children. Please consider supporting the kids at Amani through sponsoring Lynsey and friends in the race!

It’s easy to donate online with a credit or debit card - just go to their JustGiving page:

JustGiving sends your donation straight to Friends of Amani (UK) and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you’re a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Friends of Amani (UK).

Thank you,

Cathie Bartlam

700 Miles in 7 Days for the Amani Children

This summer I, Kris Tavender, am cycling 700 miles in 7 days through Cornwall, Devon and Dorset to raise money for Amani Children’s Home, which I visited and volunteered at last year, and my target is at least £1000 (ideally £2000!).

I will be leaving Bristol on 22nd August and stopping over in Tiverton, Bude, Redruth, Helston, Plymouth and Exeter before a mammoth 140 final day back into Bristol on the 28th.

I know money is somewhat lacking for everyone (in fact I know all too well! lol) but whatever you can spare will go such a long way, between the exchange rate and the contrasting cost of living, even a few quid will go such a long way to changing the lives of these kids - and they are such amazing kids too!

Please check out:

and make your donations there, or if you’d like to help me but don’t want to online just drop me an email and we can arrange something more convenient for you. tavs01@hotmail.com

Thank you for helping me help these amazing children!
